What is the Fielder Film Method?

First, There Was the Goat and the Pig…

Nathan’s first show was called Nathan for You. In it, he tried to “help” small businesses — but always with ideas so ridiculous they were funny.

In one famous episode, a petting zoo wanted more visitors. Nathan came up with a crazy idea: he trained a pig to rescue a baby goat from a pond, just to make a fake viral video. He built the pond, trained the animals, and filmed it — pretending it happened naturally.

People loved the video, even though it was all fake.

This is the kind of humor Nathan uses: dead serious face + completely absurd plans.

🎭 Then Came “The Rehearsal”

In his next show, The Rehearsal, Nathan helped people prepare for difficult situations by rebuilding their lives as detailed sets — like practicing telling a secret by recreating an entire restaurant down to the napkins.

He spent huge amounts of money on these practice sessions. The show was both funny and strange — and sometimes uncomfortable. It asked big questions:
Can money solve personal problems? When does helping become weird? Who’s in on the joke?

🥛 Now, Imagine This in Gorom Camp

That brings us to our idea: a new episode, inspired by Nathan’s shows, where he builds a huge dairy aisle — like the kind you see in U.S. supermarkets — right here in Gorom Camp.

The idea? To help refugees “practice” choosing between 2% milk, whole milk, oat milk, almond milk, and kefir before they go to America.

It’s a joke about how rich countries can spend millions on things that don’t actually solve real problems. It makes fun of how aid and media often miss the point.

But here’s the twist: the creators in Gorom Camp — people like the Gorom Pride 10 — are part of the project. They know the joke. They help tell the story. And they use the platform to challenge stereotypes, learn media skills, and build something real.
