Hello friends.
I write this post for both viewers in African refugee camps and Americans on Facebook.
The South Park episode is important for several reasons. It’s a challenge to the presidency to see what he will do to retaliate. They basically took every triggering thing for Trump and put it into an episode, and now we’re all waiting to see what he does.
Important example of resistance through art and media.

For my friends in refugee camps in Africa who watch this and go “holey smokes” – 1, there are some inside jokes that I can explain, like the spoof on “He gets us.” which is a Jesus ad they’re playing on TV now.
I also want to say to you, my friends in camps, that learning about your lives and government has made me in some ways proud to be an American. I know that if in South Sudan or Rwanda – if they made a cartoon like this about their leader – people would be dead by now. They would simply be imprisoned and killed. So the fact that Paramount showed this – there is reason to hope.
