The rumor on the internet is if Tesla stock drops to $114, there will be a margin call and Musk will be forced to sell his stock.
Although not entirely accurate, it will be significant and for sure action will take place.
So how to participate?
- If you have TSLA stock as an individual stock, it’s easy to sell. Just use the dashboard.
- More complicated is when TSLA stock is in your mutual fund.
Here’s how to make an impact, step by step.
1. Just as important as selling your stock/changing your mutual funds is letting the brokerage know. Perception is reality in the stock market, so even if 100 customers call in one day, that can make the difference of the entire brokerage divesting.

This shift is part of a growing movement on social media, where many investors are selling Tesla shares as a statement against Elon Musk’s influence and actions.
Tesla stock has already declined by over 50% since December 2024, and I believe further declines are imminent.
